Our best kept secre: Undertee Collection

Because I have the dumbz sometimes, I have completely neglected promoting our long-wearing capsleeves and camisoles, even though I probably wear one just about every day.  Today I am wearing our Cocoa Brown Capsleeve under an off-white smocked babydoll style top with thin straps that wouldn't normally give me the coverage I prefer.  With the added capsleeve not only am I adding coverage, but I'm also adding color near my face which I think is much more flattering.
^ not me, not my outfit today
Our caps and camis have been with us since the beginning and in fact, some customers are still wearing their originally purchased camisoles!  These layering shirts are the highest quality around:  they don't pill (pilling fabric gives me shivers worse than spiders do!), the color won't fade and because of the cotton/lycra fabric they don't loose their shape.  These caps and camis also have a very cute satin edging along the neck, straps and sleeves that really dress them up.

At Diviine ModesTee it's not a diamond that lasts forever...it's our Camisoles.

An Addition to the Diviine ModesTee Family

A big congratulations to Natalie, Diviine ModesTee's Bookkeeper, on the birth of her second daughter Brighton Estelle!  A fairly easy delivery after a fairly long labor.  And best yet, two hours after giving birth Natalie was up signing checks.  What a woman!

Look what a sweetie-doll Brighton is.  I love when babies sleep with their little arms all curled up around their face.  So sweet...
According to Mom, Brighton is already developing a unique personality and her big sister Addie loves her so much that she wants to be with her all the time, "helping".  Mom is already back at work with sleeping baby by her side.  Yea...we won't talk about how long it took me to get back to a normal routine.  Nope.

Congrats to Mom, Dad and big sis!

Shoes and Swimwear. What's your style?

So you've purchased your purple Divinita Sole swimsuit by Diviine Modestee but now you are wondering what footwear will be a) the most practical, b) comfy yet stylish, or c) the hands-down hottest?? I help you with that!

If this....

....or this....

Is your swimsuit (or even if you have a purple swimsuit from somewhere else!) here's a few summer shoes that will look fab no matter what your style is.

If your style is more practical, which is why you have a Divinita Sole swimsuit, you will LOVE these flipflops from Zappos.com:
These flipflops are by DVS, a skate company out of California. Known for practical shoes with high-comfort and movement, these flipflops are pretty much guaranteed to be luxurious for your feet.

If you go for comfort with a touch of style, which is why you have a Divinita Sole swimsuit in the first place, you just might like these shoes by BCBGeneration, also from Zappos:
Their foam/rubber sole is very comfortable and the little bit of heel combined with the sparkles give them just the right touch of glam. These also have a great price at $38.95.

If your style is all-out runway fashion, which is why you rock your Divinita Sole swimsuit, then try on these heels for size:

With the high heel, they'll visually elongate and thin your legs and because they are a slide they will be a breeze to kick off for a dip in the pool or a frolic on the beach. What could be more perfect? These shoes are Gwyneth Zan, also available at Zappos.com.

I'll admit that while I am a crazy shoe fool, while wearing a swimsuit I would probably go for the middle pair. I'm just a little too timid to wear a 4-inch heel at the pool. OK, quite a bit too timid. So which would you prefer? Are you brave and confident enough to wear the slides? Or just prefer to be completely comfortable? Post a comment and let me know!

Meet your True Love in Diviine Modestee Apparel??

I had a fun chat with a lady in our Boutique the other day. She was coming in to purchase a swimsuit but told us a fun story about her recent cruise and her dress that she purchased at Diviine Modestee.

At the end of May, she had the opportunity to go on a Singles Cruise to several ports in Mexico. A couple of days before her cruise she came to our Boutique to select a dress to wear on her cruise. She purchased the Carmen dress in Red/Cream and proudly wore it to one of the dressier events on her cruise. She caught the eye of a handsome gentleman while wearing the Carmen and feeling confident and attractive. He sidled up to her and introduced himself to her and they've been dating ever since!

True Romance...brought to you by Diviine Modestee.

How to Pick a Swimsuit

A while back we had one of the writers over at RealMomsRealViews write up a swimsuit review for us. Crissa wrote one of the best reviews I think I have ever read online, complete with photos of herself. Now that's brave! I asked her if she wouldn't mind if I brought her write-up over to our blog and she said she wouldn't mind at all. Hopefully she remembers....

Here's Crissa in her very own words:

Diviine Modestee allowed me to design my very own suit fit just for my style. This was hard to make a decision because everything is adorable. After much debate and a few opinions from co-workers I went with the Purple Dots Ruffle Halter top and Purple Dots Banded Midrise bottoms. They fit perfectly and cover up everything I don’t want strangers seeing. P1020396Here is a close up of the top. Look how cute those ruffles are! This is a great top for big chested women. The halter provides great support. Also, I really appreciate how it isn’t low cut. I like to keep some things to myself, you know.P1020400

The back is cut high. This allows you to still get a great tan but doesn’t expose too much to the world.P1020398

The bottoms are the highest cut to help lengthen the leg. Great for me because I have muscular dancer legs. In the back it is full coverage. Perfect for me because I love my ice cream but don’t need the world to know that.

P1020399

The waist band is the highest height. This is perfect for tummy control and minimizing hips. But look! It can be folded down to provide comfort for those of us who struggle with things sitting up to high on our waist.

Not only do I love the styles and materials of Diviine Modestee swimming suits, I love that you can mix and match them! Buy a pair of plain bottoms and match it with several different tops and vice versa! This is a great way to keep your summer pool side wear different without having to own 15 different suits. I will be a loyal customer for sure! It is nice to not have spend hours searching for the perfect suit.

Thanks Crissa! Isn't she cute in her swimsuit??!! I love how she picked purple that goes so well with her blonde hair and skin tone. She's going to be one stylish and gorgeous gal at the swimming pool this summer!

If anyone else is brave and wants to send me a photo of you in ANY of our products, I'd be happy to showcase you on our blog. sandy@diviinemodestee.com

Public Service Announcement

Socks and Swimsuits do not mix. Neither do Sock Suspenders and Swimsuits. For that matter neither do Clown-size Neck Bows and Swimsuits.

Thank you. That is all.
