Behind every great photo is an even GREATER Assistant

I love being able to post to my Facebook wall that I am on location at our swimsuit photo suit.  Sounds so awesome and glamorous doesn't it?  Like I'm the talented photographer, or even better yet...one of the gorgeous swimsuit models.  I'll let you in on a little secret....it's really not glamorous at all!  Take this photo for example:           ----------->
Such a beautiful shot.  She looks like she's been strolling along in the water and just decided to sit and rest for a second. In reality, I am standing waist deep in (quite) cold water in a SKIRT about a foot away holding a shading thing-y to get that lighting just so:

<------------Of course I'm just outside the photo, right here.  Me, the Unseen Hero.

Here's another example:           ------------------->
Everyone goes strolling along on top of a HUGE rock in 4-inch heels, right?   The photographer, who has a great eye for background details, thought it would be a tremendous idea to have her pose on the top of a boulder that was about 6 feet tall.  In a dress.  In heels.  He's a guy, right?  What does he know about the logistics of balancing on a boulder in stilettos?  What can't be seen in this photo is me, standing below with my arms literally ready to catch her, or help her keep her balance so she wouldn't come tumbling off the rock.  Hold hands.... balance....let go.....pose.....snap the photo!  She was such a professional.  But it couldn't have been done with out me, the assistant.

So I am giving myself a pat on the back and much deserved (I think!) kudos for a job well done (and to be honest, I loved every minute of it!)  Vogue Magazine, here I come :)

Studio Five Segment

When we were invited to do a segment on KSL's Studio Five, we were more than thrilled!  This gave us an opportunity to formally introduce our new 2011 Divinita Sole Swimwear line.  Chantelle, Diviine Modestee's owner and designer, brought several "real people" models to show which swimsuit styles best suit which body type.  Pear shape, boy shape, hourglass...even maternity! There is a style of Divinita Sole swimwear that best suits you!  Watch the segment below courtesy of KSL:

Thank you so much KSL for having us on your show!  Read the article here: KSL Studio Five and find a coupon code for your online order.  Enjoy!

Dive into Divinita Sole Swimwear

Our new 2011 Swimwear line is in the house!  You can see all the new styles, prints and colors at:
One of the new colors that we are very excited about this year is black.  Our customers (you!) have been requesting black for a while now and we are happy to oblige!  We've done one design in solid, classic black is our Flounce Halter shown on the right.  This new halter design has full-body ruching, great for camouflaging.  We've got this halter in the black or also in a vibrant turquoise.  There are, of course, matching black bottoms and black swimskirts.
We have a new bikini bottom to introduce this year as well...the Ruched Side Bikini.  I have a crush on this new bikini, it is just that cute!  The height on the stomach is just right, the ruching on the side is flattering and also draws attention AWAY from the lower belly.  It's on the left in Berry Pink with another new design for 2011, the Double Ruffle Halter in Plaid.

We are proud of our swimwear.  Why? Many reasons, but among them:
*All our fabric patterns our designed by us and created especially for us.  You won't find these same prints anywhere else!
*Our swimwear is fully-lined, front AND back.  The full lining helps in a couple of ways: it keeps the top from rolling up, that extra layer ensures that others won't see every little lump and bump of *coughcellulitecough* AND ensures that your swimsuit will never be see-thru.  In designing swimwear, we really put the extra effort in making sure that our swimsuits are just that much better than the rest.
